WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Responsible for managing all aspects of dewatering and water services for operational mining, including installing, repairing, and monitoring surface dewatering infrastructure such as pumps and fixed site systems. Ensure safe and efficient operations by adhering to policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Perform mechanical repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance on dewatering systems to maximise equipment availability and efficiency.
- Install, maintain, and repair dewatering infrastructure, including pumps, pipelines, sumps, and trenches, with polywelding for HDPE pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in pumps and ancillary equipment, ensuring reliable operation of bore fields and pit dewatering systems.
- Operate mobile earthmoving equipment for basic loading and clearing tasks as required.
- Monitor water levels and manage water discharge, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Review and enhance maintenance processes by proposing modern technologies and aligning efforts with site operations.
ABOUT YOU
- At least 12 months of experience with dewatering, submersible, surface pumps or similar. (Essential).
- Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class “C”/“HR” Driver’s Licence (Essential).
- Relevant tickets: Poly Welding, IT Loader, Dogman, Franna, Forklift, Working at Heights (Desirable).
- Previous experience in an Open-Pit/Cut mining environment (Desirable).
- First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
- Schedule 26 (Desirable).
