The Gold Room Technician controls, monitors and maintains the process equipment used in the gold circuit at the Binduli North Heap Leach Project.
DUTIES
- Carry out all the Elution and Gold room operations, including Elution circuits, regeneration of Carbon, Cropping and smelting.
- Troubleshooting all gold room processes.
- Identifying and managing risks to the Gold Room Elution area.
- Secure Gold Room assets from misuse/theft, encompassing gold and equipment.
- Implementing and maintaining systems and procedures for effective management of Gold Room operations including reporting.
- Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities, such as maintaining service logs and internal service records on time.
- Complete end-of-month reporting on all gold poured.
- Carry out sufficient strips to keep GIC at a constant level.
- Train other personnel as required.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- Daily inspections of work area.
- Any other duties as required.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Current unrestricted “C” Class WA Manual Drivers Licence
- Senior First Aid Certificate is desirable
- Fork lift licence
- Knowledge of gold processing
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Intermediate computer literacy with MS Word & MS Excel
- Basic report writing skills
- Sound verbal & written communication skills
