ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Scheduler, you will be responsible for transforming maintenance plans and work orders into safe, efficient, and executable daily and weekly schedules. This includes aligning labour, equipment access, permits, tooling, and materials to ensure timely completion of work.
Working closely with planners, supervisors, operations, and supply teams, you will ensure maintenance activities are prioritised based on statutory requirements, equipment criticality, and operational demands. You will also play a key role in shutdown coordination, schedule compliance, and driving continuous improvement in asset availability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and issue short-term maintenance schedules that optimise labour, equipment access, permits, and parts
- Prioritise and sequence maintenance activities in line with safety, compliance, and operational needs
- Confirm job readiness by reviewing work packs, permits, and resourcing prior to execution
- Coordinate with operations to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, adjusting priorities where required
- Maintain and update SAP scheduling data, crew allocations, and task timings
- Support shutdown planning and coordination for major maintenance events
- Track and report schedule adherence, highlighting delays and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of scheduling tools, processes, and dashboards
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) or Cert IV in Maintenance Planning/Scheduling
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mobile fleet or fixed plant scheduling role within mining or heavy industry
- Strong knowledge of HME maintenance workflows, statutory servicing intervals, and OEM requirements
- Proficiency with SAP PM / AMT or equivalent CMMS
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling tools (Project, Prometheus, Primavera)
- Strong technical writing, reporting, and communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, and supply chain teams
- Current unencumbered WA C Class Driver’s Licence
- Senior First Aid (desirable)
