Norton Gold Fields is seeking a highly experienced Mobile Maintenance Superintendent to lead and manage the performance of our Open Pit and Underground mining fleets. This senior leadership role is accountable for safety, availability, cost and asset integrity across all mobile maintenance operations, ensuring statutory compliance and excellence in contractor management.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Manager, you will lead planning, scheduling, reliability, condition monitoring, and technical writing teams. You will ensure maintenance strategies are effectively executed, drive continuous improvement, and deliver safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage mobile maintenance teams and contractors to achieve safety, availability and cost targets.
- Oversee maintenance of heavy mobile and light vehicle fleets, ensuring optimal asset performance.
- Monitor contractual KPIs, costs, labour and variations to deliver best pricing and value.
- Liaise with key stakeholders and conduct quarterly reviews with major contractors.
- Manage critical spares, tyre performance and ensure asset reliability.
- Fulfil statutory supervisor obligations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Drive hazard identification, inspections, pre-start and toolbox meetings.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting across all maintenance functions.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years’ experience in a Mobile Maintenance Superintendent or similar leadership role within mining.
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualification in heavy plant (additional qualifications desirable).
- Exposure to both Open Pit & Underground mining equipment maintenance.
- Experience managing light vehicle fleets and contractors.
- CMMS experience (Pronto highly desirable).
- Current unencumbered WA HR driver’s licence and relevant statutory supervisor qualifications.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and contractor liaison skills.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
