RESIDENTIAL: Kalgoorlie/Boulder
DUTIES
- Conduct risks assessments for field tasks at a team and individual level.
- Complete regular safety inspections of grade control drill rigs and ancillary equipment.
- Assist Geologists & Surveyors in completing ore mark ups, geological mapping, clast hole sampling ensuring no unplanned standby of mining equipment due to ore not being marked up.
- Ensure samples meet the GC QC sampling standards before removal of samples from the drill site.
- Reporting any non-compliance in sampling or drilling technique immediately to the driller and Senior Geologist.
- Maintain electronic records of all sample submissions and drilling completed by the Open Pit Geology team, ensure paper copies and files are accessible.
- Regular stockpile sampling, ensuring data is recorded showing assayed grades.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Preferable)
- Forklift Licence (Desirable)
- 4WD competent and experience working in remote locations (Desirable).
- Knowledge (or formal training) of geological sampling theory (Desirable).
- Experience in conducting geological / geochemical sampling programs (Desirable).
- Current unrestricted “C” Class WA Manual Drivers Licence (Essential)
