ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Store Person, you will be responsible for maintaining and delivering inventory across site operations, in a safe and efficient manner. Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and health and safety regulations.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Ensure the quality of goods and materials accepted into the warehouse and supplied to internal customers, and report any damaged goods.
  • Perform regular, accurate stock takes as required. Inspection of work area, equipment and stores for hazards, damage and defects.
  • Identify and investigate anomalies between physical and recorded stock levels.
  • Ensure the availability of catalogued items and report any discrepancies.
  • Accurately administer receipt and dispatch of inward and outward goods from the warehouse to ensure equipment can be easily located and retrieved.
  • Accurately pick and pack goods within the warehouse.
  • Efficiently use the computer-based store system.
  • Conduct housekeeping and security duties within the store and compound.
  • Assist in month-end duties such as stock item issues, fuel dips, as required.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure the safe operation of machinery, such as forklifts, where required.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Current unrestricted WA “HR” License and Forklift ticket.
  • Supply / Purchasing certificate or diploma (highly desirable).
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in a warehouse role
  • Previous experience with purchasing software systems (Pronto, Eclipse, SAP, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven customer service focus
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • Can work autonomously
