ABOUT THE ROLE
Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition Superintendent to lead recruitment and workforce attraction initiatives across the business.

This role is responsible for delivering strategic and operational recruitment outcomes to support current operations and future growth. You will lead the end-to-end talent acquisition function, ensuring recruitment strategies align with business objectives while attracting, engaging, and retaining high-quality talent across a diverse mining workforce.

Working closely with hiring managers and senior leadership, the successful candidate will drive workforce planning, recruitment performance, onboarding excellence, and continuous improvement across all recruitment activities.

 

DUTIES

  • Develop and implement recruitment and workforce attraction strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and deliver effective recruitment solutions.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process across multiple departments and operations.
  • Lead and mentor the recruitment team, supporting capability development and performance outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate overseas recruitment activities, including visa sponsorship and onboarding processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with recruitment agencies, labour hire providers, universities, and industry networks.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, market trends, staffing levels, and workforce planning requirements.
  • Prepare recruitment budgets, reports, and workforce analysis for senior leadership.
  • Support employer branding and initiatives to strengthen NGF’s position as an employer of choice.
  • Maintain talent pipelines and candidate databases to support future workforce needs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Behavioural Sciences, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Current unrestricted WA Manual C Class Driver’s Licence.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 8–10 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and National Employment Standards (NES).
  • Experience developing workforce attraction and recruitment strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high-volume and specialist recruitment activities.
  • Experience in mining, resources, or heavy industry environments highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment compliance and best-practice processes.
  • Proven leadership and team development capability.
COMMUNICATION & LEADERSHIP

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong relationship-building capability across all organisational levels.
  • Ability to influence hiring outcomes and support operational workforce needs.
  • Strong reporting and analytical capability.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience using HRIS, recruitment, and safety management systems.
