ABOUT THE ROLE
Norton Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Underground Electrical Superintendent to support our Tuart underground operations.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the safe and efficient operation of underground power systems, ensuring reliability across current operations while supporting new site developments and electrical upgrades.
You will play a key role in driving safety, operational performance and continuous improvement across the electrical function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Lead and manage underground electrical, instrumentation and control systems
- Ensure reliable power supply to support production and minimise downtime
- Oversee electrical installations, upgrades and infrastructure projects
- Plan and execute shutdown strategies and maintenance schedules
- Provide leadership and direction to site electrical teams
- Ensure compliance with WA mining legislation and site standards
- Carry out duties as a Statutory Supervisor / Electrical Nominee
- Work closely with production and technical teams to deliver operational outcomes
- Support new projects and expansion activities across site
ABOUT YOU
- Electrical Trade Certificate or Engineering qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground mining
- Proven leadership experience supervising electrical teams
- Strong understanding of underground power systems and maintenance
- Current Statutory Supervisor qualification (essential)
- Ability to build relationships and influence across teams
- Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills
