Kai Yiu (Guy)
Chief Financial Officer
Mr Yiu graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Business and Administration and has an MBA from the University of Hong Kong. For the past 4 years he has been Financial Controller of Gold Mountains (HK) International Mining Co, a subsidiary of Zijin Mining Co, overseeing the finance functions of overseas operations. Responsible for cash resources planning and fund raising activities he has co-hosted roadshows and client meetings to raise seed capital and was involved in the set up and operation of an overseas mining fund of +US$100M.
He has previously held positions with Ernst & Young and John Lees & Associates involved in M&A activities, fund raising and financial analysis.
General Manager - Geology & Exploration
Mr Ruzicka is a Geologist with 23 years’ experience in the mining industry focusing on Exploration and Resource Development of near mine areas. He has 16 years’ with previous leading WA based gold producers, Sons of Gwalia Ltd and Dominion Mining Ltd. Mr Ruzicka has several years experience as Exploration/ Geology Manager and in his most recent position prior to Norton Gold Fields, was Exploration Manager for CopperCo Limited, as part of the team responsible for significant increases in resource and reserve prior to mining start-up at Mt Isa, Queensland.
Mr Ruzicka has extensive local and international experience. Local experience within the Yilgarn Gold Province includes gold operations at Southern Cross, Leonora, Laverton and Meekatharra. Internationally, Peter has had geographic exposure to gold and base metals deposits throughout Asia (China, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines), Africa (Mozambique, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa), and the USA (Alaska).
Dr Jinping Qi received PhD in ore deposits from Peking University in 2006 and furthered his research in vein-type silver-lead-zinc deposit as a postdoctoral fellow. He joined Zijin Mining Group in 2009. Since then Dr Qi has gained 6 years’ practical experience in mineral resource exploration in Zijinshan epithermal-porphyry gold-copper-silver ore field and was appointed to General Manger of Southeast Branch Company of Geological Survey. For the past 3 years, Dr Qi took active role in management of Copper-Cobalt exploration project in Democratic Republic of Congo and participated in resource evaluation and due diligence for over 100 international mineral exploration projects, including some world-class projects, such as Kamoa copper project in DRC, Porgera gold project in PNG.
Dr Qi will use his expertise in geological exploration to enlarge Norton’s potential in resource upgrade and expansion.
Xiao (Nicholas) Tan
Mr Tan graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering (First-class Honour) in 2015 and hold Certificate in Governance Practice from the Governance Institute of Australia.
